Hi dear,

I created a Jira-, Confluence- and a Bitbucketaccount and all works fine.

But if I want connect to my Bitbucketaccount with my gitclient (GitEye) via URI I cannot to the account with my Jirapassword. Would annybody tell me what my password is or where can I set it.

Regards

Hi @Olaf Thiele , welcome to the Community!

When looking to connect another application to your account, you'll want to use a special password in Bitbucket called an App Password. This is going to be different than the password you use to log into the web interface, and you'll need to generate one before you can connect GitEye. Full details on how app passwords work are included in this article , but in short you can simply use it in the "password" part of your GitEye setup after generating it with these steps:

  1. From your avatar in the bottom left, click Personal settings.

  2. Click App passwords under Access management.

  3. Click Create app password.

  4. Give the app password a name related to the application that will use the password.

  5. Select the specific access and permissions you want this application password to have.

  6. Copy the generated password and either record or paste it into the application you want to give access. The password is only displayed this one time.

I hope that helps clarify - the article about app passwords has more information but I'm happy to answer anything you might need to know!
