Connecting from a Linux Server

Jeremiah Seward October 14, 2024

We are looking at building a new Linux server for a developer and he wants to be able to connect to our current bitbucket data center (linux server) and pull and push code.

Do we have any recommendations on how this process would work or if it will work at all?

Vikram,

Thank you as the info I was finding was talking about creating tokens and using GitKraken on the Linux server to BitBucket.

This is much easier than I thought.

Thank you again.

Hi @Jeremiah Seward

Welcome to Atlassian Community

If your linux server and Data Center linux server are in same IP range then you can install git client on developer machine and can access to Bitbucket Data center for pull and push code.

1) if your developer machine is not in same IP range as Data Center server then you have to allow the IP of developer machine in Data Center Inbound rule, so that developer can pull and push the code.

Let me know if any other information required.
