Confirm parent branch

I have created a new branch from Develop branch. using SourceTree.

When I open Bitbucket webpage I see this:

Master branch is the destination.

Why Master branch is the destination if I have selected Develop branch?

Creating the branch with JIRA will show Master branch as destination.

JIRA picks up the 'default branch' (main branch in Bitbucket cloud) as destination by default. You can go ahead and change it by clicking on 'change destination' link.
