Colleague can't receive verification code

My colleague tries to log in via microsoft account, and the website redirects him to the verification page. He then tries to send / re-send the verification code to his email but doesn't receive any. We double checked the email so wrong email input should not be a problem.

By verification code you mean the 2-step verification code? 

If your colleague has 2-step verification enabled on his Bitbucket or Atlassian account but does not have access to the 2SV device or the verification codes, they will need to trigger a 2SV reset. To request the recovery email through the login screen you will need to click on Forgot code > Send recovery e-mail when prompted for the 2SV code.

The user will then receive a notification email that a reset process has started. After 24 hours the user will receive a second email with the actual 2SV reset link. The 24h delay is a necessary measure to protect our customers and their data from social engineering attempts and can't be bypassed.
