Captcha Verification in own code programatically

Hello,
I am developing a Add-On that extends the login and has an own login page.
I understand that I can get the Captcha from the ressource "/captcha?ts=xxxxxxx" and ts is the unix-timestamp in millis.
Now I need to verify the answer and do not find any class that provides this functionality.
Anyone has any idea how to verify the Captcha in a Java Servlet?
