Whenever I edit a project's description under settings, I can save my changes just fine. But the description doesn't appear in the list of available projects later.
Any idea why this could be the case?

Looks like you found a bug, I'm able to reproduce it. Do you mind filing a ticket into our public issue tracker? This way you'll be notified as soon as we fix the issue.
