Cannot add existing repositories owned by team to project

Alex February 6, 2020

Hi,

I logged in as Admin of the team and created a project

I also own the repositories I was going to add to that project.

The issue is when I click "add existing repositories" to that project, they don't show up on the list. Other repositories do show up but not those I wanted.

I also go to the repository setting but found no option to choose a project to add it to.

I followed the guide here, but it doesn't help though: https://confluence.atlassian.com/bitbucket/projects-792497956.html

Please help me. What am I doing wrong? Thank you in advance.

Hello @Alex,

Thanks for reaching out.

I also own the repositories I was going to add to that project.

Does this mean that the repositories in question don't belong to the team, but to your own account? If this is the case, you need to click Add repositories from an individual account link in the top right corner – this will switch to the list of your personal repositories.

I also go to the repository setting but found no option to choose a project to add it to.

If the repository is under team account, you will be able to see and change the project it belongs to on the Repository details tab in its settings, right under repository name:

If you don't see project there, it means that repository is in an individual account rather than a team:

Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any questions.

Cheers,
Daniil

Hi @Daniil Penkin, thanks for your response.

When I said "I" in the original post, it means the Team account.

I double-checked the repository setting and saw the team was marked as owner. I guess only the owner has the capability to go to the repository setting and make changes to "User and group access", is that correct?

I tried "Add repositories from an individual account" and the repositories I wanted were somehow listed, which conflicts with my previous statement.

Looking forward for your reply soon,

Regards,

Alex

Hi,

I successfully solved the issue by transferring the proper owner. There seems to be my misunderstanding between individual account and team account.

Thank you so much for your support.

Regards,

Alex
