I earlier had a proper email but that domain email stopped working so I made a gmail alias

username+something@gmail.com

Now I am stuck in a weird loop, it used to work - I think I did login 4 months ago. Now I can't login. I reset password - I login, it says wrong email/password. I reset again. Funny thing is that it tells me to use a different password than before. So system knows I am typing the correct password, but it won't log me in.

Please assist.

Hi and welcome to the community!

It's good to hear that you were able to access the account.

You mentioned that a certain email's domain stopped working, so I just wanted to let you know that it's important to ensure a Bitbucket account's primary email address is an email address you have access to. We cannot make changes to an account's email address if you lose access to the email.

You can update a certain account's primary email address, if needed, the following way:

1. Log in to https://bitbucket.org/.

2. Select the cog icon from top right corner, next to your avatar > select Atlassian account settings.

3. In the new page that opens, select Email from the top menu. You will then see an option to change your email address.

4. After you do and save the changes, check the inbox of the new email address to find the verification message.

5. Click Verify your email and follow the instructions to conclude the update.

Just a heads up, I edited the email address in your post to protect your privacy, as this is a public forum.

Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

Kind regards,
Theodora
