Can not push repo to bitbucket

I have logged in to my bitbucket account with a google account. I haven't set a password at any point. 

However, when I tried to push some content to a new repository, a popup comes up and asking for Atlassian login credentials. 

I tried to create a password through my Atlassian account. however, I have the option only to change my password and it requires my earlier password which doesn't exist.

Have you tried using the same Google credentials you use to access your Bitbucket account via the browser?

If it doesn't work, you could try the steps proposed by this other user in his thread.
