Can I open a commit view is Stash using an URL without knowing the project or repository

Jan Swaelens

Hello,

We are wondering if there is a way to trigger an URL which opens the commit detail view of Stash using only the commit hash? This would also mean that the commit hash is unique over repo's which we are not sure it is.

So instead of

http://dvcs.server.be:7990/projects/PROJECT/repos/repo-name/commits/107ccd5a348dcfdfee6f104efba9c4322ea1faf4

http://dvcs.server.be:7990/commits/107ccd5a348dcfdfee6f104efba9c4322ea1faf4

thanks

Hi Jan,

Sorry, there isn't a way to do that. Commits aren't unique across repositories. There's nothing stopping you pushing the same repository (or forks containing the same commit) to two different Stash projects.

cheers,

Tim
