Can I create an admin user in Bitbucket Cloud without an email address?

I would like to create an admin user that is not tied to any one person by an email account in Bitbucket cloud.  It doesn't appear like you can do that in the cloud version... but is possible in the on-prem Bitbucket server product.

Is this correct?

Thanks,

Mark

Hi Mark!

What do you mean by an admin in Bitbucket Cloud? Bitbucket Cloud doesn't have a "user management" system such as Bitbucket Server, Jira or Confluence has, so the concept of admin differs. Instead, every user is the owner of their own account, which makes them the admins. If you're referring to a Team account, team accounts by itself are not associated to any email address, but every member needs a Bitbucket account (associated to an email address) to access the team. So in short, it's not possible to have an admin (or any kind of user) without an email address.

Hope this clarifies your question, Mark! Let us know if you need anything else :)

Best regards,

Ana
