I am looking for adding Jira issue# to some older git commits, in Bitbucket. So that I can see the Jira Issues listed in the Bitbucket commit browser. I don't want to update git commit message (one way to auto-populate the Jira issue# in Bitbucket browser in the commit message contains a valid issue#). I couldn't find a REST API to achieve the same. Let me know if you know the REST API or there any other solution.
