Bitbucket backup solution with intelligible instructions?

I don't understand why BitBucket doesn't have a built-in backup system.  The command line addon tool seems to assume I'm running the server on Unix so that is pretty useless and the DIY backup does the same.

Can anyone direct me to a backup solution for BitBucket which works on Windows or better instructions than the Atlassian ones?

Very few software vendors gives you a detailed documentation on how to do backups these days, normally they just tells you the minimum that you need to backup. Different companies have different backup strategies. We for example do snapshot backups multiple times a day on our Bitbucket server and we are using Veeam for this.
