Bitbucket Pipelines : connect to remote database from pipeline - phpunit

Hi,

i have created phpunit class, where i want to connect to remote server but doesn't work.
My question: can we make remote connexion to remote server from file running by pipeline?

That should be indeed possible. Is the remote server however accessible to the internet? Pipelines won't be able to connect to the remote server if it's behind a firewall
