I'd like to understand our Bitbucket Cloud backup policy. Based on my online research, my understanding is that Atlassian backs up Bitbucket Cloud data and retains it for 7 days—though please correct me if I've got the retention policy wrong. I have a few questions:
- Is this understanding correct? If Bitbucket Cloud were down for a day or two, could we request Atlassian to provide us our code?
- What does the backup cover? Does it include metadata such as pull requests, commits, pipeline details, etc.—or just the repository code?
- What's the restoration process? If we experienced a failure, I'd like to understand the full recovery process in detail—including how we communicate the request to Atlassian and the step-by-step restoration procedure.
