BitBucket shows old Full Names of the users

logovskoy May 7, 2019

My colleague have changed his Full Name in atlassian account. Now in Pull requests he sees new name but I am still seeing his old user name. Search by Author doesn't work for me as well. I've tried couple of browsers, cleared browsing history and cache nothing helped.

My colleagues see changes, but I am not!

Hi, welcome to the Community!

Username and Full name are two different things. The username is the display name that they choose when they create their Bitbucket account and can not be changed, the Full name is the name that they choose to be shown in their id.atlassian.com account. Can you confirm to which one are you referring?

To clarify this, you can check your user list at https://bitbucket.org/account/user/<your-username>/plan-users/ (make sure to replace <your-username> with your actual username), this is how it looks like:

If after checking this you can confirm that you still see the old Full name, we'll need to make sure that your account's colleague has been synced correctly and that the changes he made are spreading to the rest of systems.

Let us know!

Ana

Hi @Ana Retamal, thanks for your response!
I am referring to "Full Name".

On user plan list (url you gave) I see old Full Names for some of my colleagues. And for the other colleagues I see new Full Names.
More over in some users profiles (https://bitbucket.org/<username>/) I see old Full Names while user himself sees his new Full Name on same page with same URL.

I have asked colleague to change his Full Name and than to change it back. It turned out I see previous version of the Full Name all the time
