Hi@all

I have a slightly weird problem with our Bitbucket server, which I've updated to version 5.15.0 today.

The update went smoothly and also started the server automatically. From here began the problems. At some point, the server stopped responding so I had to reboot the server using Power Off and Power On. In the startup, BitBucket either stuck to the point "Prepare Soy Template" or "Bitbucket Server started successfully". When checking the log files to find the error, it turned out that the operating system also showed no reaction (hence Power Off / Power On). In the log files nothing was to be found after a system start, also with a live monitoring of the log file no error was to be determined. The system simply stops. In an attempt to start the previous version (5.8.1), it turned out that there are no problems here. The server is running stably.

Server key data before update:

  • Debian 9
  • 8gigs RAM
  • 4 Cores
  • Bitbucket 5.8.1
  • All Updates for Debian installed
  • Bitbucket runs perfectly

Server key data before update:

  • Debian 9
  • 8gigs RAM
  • 4 Cores
  • Bitbucket 5.15.0
  • All Updates for Debian installed
  • Bitbucket freezes the entire machine (needs hardreset Power off to restart)

I've tried several things now:

  • Started without Elastic Search
  • Increased the memory from 1gig to 4
  • Added /dev/urandom to Recommended_Args

Maybe someone of you has an idea why that might be. The demand for corresponding entries from the log files I can deny the same, they do not exist (probably due to the freeze of the server).

regards
