Hi everyone,

I installed bitbucket server couple of months back on windows server 2012 r2. it was working fine , and we have couple if repos there. everything was smooth until today, it just stop working , we can not access it on out local domain as well as on the server itself. I went to service manager to check the services , found them in stop status , but they are not starting , no info in the logs, and logs files are not being updated regarding the service start failure.

can anyone help to get out of it ?

Thanks and Regards,
Rafiq

Hello Rafiq and welcome to the Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your Bitbucket instance being unable to start its service. In order to find the cause of your Bitbucket instance not starting, we will need to get some form of log output. We would ask you to review the Bitbucket logs along with the Windows Event logs as well.

Here is information on the Bitbucket logs:

Other things to look for are to ensure Java is a correct and supported version for Bitbucket. Further information on this may be found at Supported platforms. Also, make sure your Bitbucket database is running and accessible from your Bitbucket server.

Any further information you may be able to find will be helpful in finding the cause of your halted Bitbucket service.
