I am seeking assistance with an existing Bitbucket Cloud workspace that has become deactivated.
Our organisation has historically used the Bitbucket Free tier and has not had a paid Bitbucket subscription. When attempting to restore access, the process appears to direct me towards creating a new workspace rather than reactivating the existing one.
I am concerned that proceeding with the creation of a new workspace may prevent access to our existing repositories, settings, permissions, and project history associated with the original workspace.
Could you please advise on:
If you did not see the workspace when accessing the de-activated page, it's highly likely that the workspace you're referring to is connected to a different user account (and its associated login email address).
May you please navigate to any local repo you may have and check its remote config and your associated git config? This may reveal the correct email address associated with the workspace you're referring to:
git remote -v
git config --list
Alternatively, try logging into Bitbucket with any other email address that you may have used in the past.
If you're still not able to find it - please let me know your timezone, as I'll need to raise a support ticket on your behalf with the appropriate team in your region, so that you may share the workspaceID with us privately.
Cheers!

Perfect, I've just opened a ticket with myself. I'll respond on that ticket - please check the email you used to raise this post for further correspondence.
Cheers!

Hello
Yes, tried the deactivated link just keeps looping around with no reactivate option.
The support won't raise a request just redirects to articles.

Can it be reactivated? Yes, as long as a Workspace Admin completes the reactivation process before Atlassian permanently deletes the workspace.
How to regain access: Log in as a Workspace Admin/ask workspace admin, go to Profile - All workspaces, click the banner link for deactivated workspaces (or visit workspace deactivation), select your workspace, and complete the self-recovery flow.
Impact of creating a new workspace: None on the existing data, but it won't restore anything. It creates a brand-new, empty workspace with a different ID and no access to your original repositories, history, or settings.
Steps to restore: Follow the self-recovery link mentioned above. If you aren't an admin, ask a Workspace Admin to do it. If the workspace isn't listed there, open a ticket with Atlassian Support.
