Application linki; which user should be used?

I am linking up Bitbucket server and Bamboo, which shares its users using Crowd (backed by OpenLDAP).

I was wondering which user should be used to make the link. Does it have any impact on how branching and merging would appear as in bitbucket?

Would it be a good idea to have a common admin user, something like "builduser" for this purpose?
