I haven't logged into my account for some time and when I log in now, I am missing my repository - when I log in with my email address, I don't have any repos associated with it.
At some point an ex-client has added my email address to their organisational Atlassian account so I am not sure if this caused the issue, or the fact that I have not logged in since January 2025.
My account was a free account and the total space used was around 135 Mb, therefore under the 1GB limit. Back in January 2025 I was able to access https://bitbucket.org/xxx/workspace/settings/plans-and-billing as I have a screenshot of it. But if I go to the same URL (or any of URLs that I used to access repositories such as https://bitbucket.org/xxx/workspace/repositories/ or https://bitbucket.org/xxx/workspace/projects/PROJ ) I get "404 Resource not found"
How can I recover whatever was under my username? I have got no email from Atlassian that my projects will be deleted.
I checked other answers here and I went to Bitbucket --my Avatar --> All workspaces
But when I click on "All workspaces", nothing happens.
How can I recover my repository?
UPDATE: I managed to get to my code by guessing the URL from an earlier screenshot I took:
On that screenshot the URL was https://bitbucket.org/xxx/ which currently gives me 404. But that screenshot showed repositories under my label xxx and there were two of them: aaaaaa and bbbbbb.
I then tried to make up URL by just appending aaaaaa and bbbbbb to the URL from the screenshot and my sources were there :-)
https://bitbucket.org/xxx/aaaaaa/
https://bitbucket.org/xxx/bbbbbb/
On the left hand side I have all normal Bitbucket navigation however if I go there and click on "View all repositories" then Bitbucket goes to this page: https://bitbucket.org/xxx/workspace/repositories/ and I get 404 Resource Not Found.
So something is wrong how all this is linked up together on a Bitbucket side, but I can go directly to my repositories by making up the URL.
I would like someone from Atlassian to check what is the issue, but I hope the writeuyp above will help someone.
Hi @Sandra
Your personal workspace (which is associated with your user account) was marked DORMANT due to inactivity, as part of a cleanup operation mentioned in this blogpost:
I've manually re-activated the user account, so you should no longer see 404 errors.
Cheers!

Hi @Ben ,
Thank you very much on the reply and I can confirm the other URLs are now working.
I have read the above blogpost but when I followed the instructions and selected "View all repositories" in attempt to nothing showed. I believe I am the wrokspace admin so it should show.
If not, we do not have another admin (at least not to my knowledge). When I go to workspace memebers, I can see myself and another member who I added some years back. But there is no someone third that would be admin, and if I am admin, why could I not see deactivated workspace when I clicked on my Avatar and option "View all workspaces"?
I am just trying to make sure all is set up properly so that thing like this does not happen again.

Hi @Sandra
There is a bug with the manual re-activation process from the user end, this is being investigated by our engineering team and this is why you did not see the option to re-activate.
Rest assured, your workspace/account is restored properly and you should not encounter issues moving forward.

Hi @Ben
I am experiencing the same problem as Sandra. To avoid creating duplicate questions, I am replying to this thread.
I have logged today into my account, knowing the deadline of 15 May to reactivate the previous workspaces and access the repositories.
Can you help me access again the dormant workspaces?
Thanks

I just read in this post https://community.atlassian.com/forums/Bitbucket-articles/Bitbucket-cleanup-of-free-unused-workspaces-what-you-need-to/ba-p/3144063 that the workspace will be deleted if not re-activated by 15th May. This is only 3 weeks away so my above question is URGENT please.
I am sure I was the Workspace admin but I am not sure whether by ex-client adding my email address to their organisational account has messed up admin rights as I cannot see any workspaces when clicking "All workspaces" under my Avatar on Bitbucket.
Please I need urgent help.
