Hi, i'm able to configure and work with 2FA in confluence in our enterprise account, but it doesn't seem to work across bitbucket. Using Google authenticator works fine. Even if i disable 2FA (using this link: https://id.atlassian.com/manage/two-step-verification) it works fine, but if i try to login in bitbucket, it needs 2FA anyways.
Thanks in advance.
Hi Francisco, welcome to the Community!
I understand that 2FA is not working for you in Bitbucket. Can you elaborate a bit more why you don't think it's working as it should?
If you think that because of the fact that you're still requested to authenticate wit h2FA despite having disabled it, I'd recommend checking the settings of your Bitbucket account. Bitbucket itself provides the option to set 2FA, so if it's enabled there it will remain enabled even if the enforcement is disabled at a higher level.
You can find more information about this at Two step verification.
Let us know if this helps you,
Ana
Hi Ana, thanks for your reply. Asking my enterprise sys admin, he told me that our confluence and bitbucket has two different 2FA for each platform, despite being the same atlassian account. Configuring 2FA in the link you provide me, works and all, but the changes doesn't correspond to the same configuration in Bitbucket. Can you reset my authentication configuration for Bitbucket only or disable 2FA for bitbucket?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Francisco,
Thanks for your response. However, I'm afraid I don't understand what you mean by:
but the changes doesn't correspond to the same configuration in Bitbucket.
Also, what do you mean with:
Can you reset my authentication configuration for Bitbucket only or disable 2FA for bitbucket?
This is something you should be able to do for yourself following these steps:
Note: You'll need at least one verification or recovery code to disable two-step verification. If you have to log into Bitbucket first, you'll need at least two verification or recovery codes.
To disable two-step verification:
- From your avatar in the bottom left, click Bitbucket settings.
- Click Two-step verification under Security.
- Enter a verification code from your authentication app or a recovery code and you'll see your two-step verification settings.
- Click Disable two-step verification and then click Disable in the confirmation message.
Let us know if the above works for you!
Best regards,
Ana

Hi Ana, thanks for your help.
First of all, i'm sorry i'm not making myself clear, english isn't my primary language.
And second, i can't follow the steps your post here, because i can't enter to my account, so i can't "click Bitbucket settings".
I as said before, we have different authentication settings for bitbucket and confluence, so even if i disable two-step verification in my atlassian account, it doesn't change anything in the bitbucket account.
So every time i try to login in bitbucket i see this:
Two-step verification in my atlassian account is disabled:
Recovery codes generated in the atlassian account, doesn't work on bitbucket either.
I hope this helps.
Thanks.

Almost forgot:
In your second question:
Also, what do you mean with:
Can you reset my authentication configuration for Bitbucket only or disable 2FA for bitbucket?
I meant that if you could disable my two-step, verification settings from your side.
Thanks.
