Atlassian for VS Code now supports Jira Server and Bitbucket Server

Earlier this year, we released the Atlassian for VS Code extension, bringing Atlassian products closer to where you work every day. With the VS Code extension installed, you don’t have to leave your IDE to view and create issues, pull requests, and pipelines. The extension speeds up your workflow with time-saving features like the “Start work” button (to create a branch and transition an issue in one step) and the ability to create an issue from a //TODO code comment directly from your editor.

Today, we’re excited to announce the release of Atlassian for VS Code 2.0.0! This release adds support for Server & Data Center deployments of Jira and Bitbucket and a wider variety of Jira issue configurations, helping you save more time every day. This update also adds a single view for all of your issues and fine-tuned notifications so you can stay up to date on your work.

Version 2.0.0 is available today on the VS Code marketplace. For more information about how to install the extension, report bugs, and give feedback, see the original announcement post.

Happy coding!
