I've been trying to run a command during the build plan that analyses change for a specific branch. The tool uses the git revision (from the master branch in this case), so it can scan all the changes that happened after that particular commit.

By running the command git rev-parse master, I'm able to get the revision I want and pass it along. However, this command produces: fatal: ambiguous argument 'master': unknown revision or path not in the working tree.

I set up bamboo locally for testing reasons, and it worked well. But running the same plan configuration in the bamboo server (created by an automation script) and using the same version (6.10.4) fails.

I'm wondering if there is a configuration I'm missing that made it work locally but didn't in the server. Any ideas?
