jira + bamboo+ gitlab with rust Projects

Hi,

for our new workflow, we are planning to use jira + bamboo with gitlab,

does they work well together?

what is the suggested work flow?

can gitlab trigger a build and test on merge requests on bamboo before merging?

all the projects are mainly in rust, does that(cargo) supported with bamboo?

Any suggestions and help is very helpfull.
