how do I use sbt with bamboo on demand?

I have an Scala Build Tool (SBT) project I would like to build using a continuous delivery (CD) platform. I'd prefer to use bamboo on demand as I track stories etc with Jira, but as far as I can see I'd have to use a java/maven Amazon Machine Image (AMI) image. My worry here is the build would have to download every dependency with every build. Can this be done or am I better of using Jenkins?

Might want to explain your TLAs, instead of just AEK your NWKs.  (Hint - SBT's usual meaning is "Sad but true")
