does Bamboo support Fujitsu Cobol builds

Bruce Strickland
August 17, 2015

We are currently preparing migration to Bamboo/Stash/GIT/SourceTree from ClearCase and CruiseControl. We have a lot of legacy code including Fujitsu Cobol, Visual Basic 6. Does Bamboo support builds for Fujitsu Cobol "out of the box"?

Hi Bruce,

If you are using the Fujitsu Cobol compiler for .NET then you can use the MSBuild task when setting up your bamboo plan, pointing it at your solution file containing your COBOL projects. You can also use this task for your other .NET projects aswell. smile

If you are using the COBOL compiler standalone than you will have to write a script based task with the necessary commands for your build.
