I am building projects using Bamboo.  I am trying to use the ${bamboo.props.version} variable for my version name but I have previously used tags during development.  Even though I have deleted all the tags, Bamboo is still using that to create my version.  For example if my ${bamboo.props.version} is 1.0.0, but I have a deleted tag of 2.0.1 the version when I create a deployment is 2.0.2.  Is it possible to reset this and use the value in the variable?

Hi jcarpenter@gmcps.com

I'm afraid I will need to get your configuration to understand how this is happening.

I'm assuming you are talking about deployment release names, can you confirm that?

The naming rules for deployment releases are defined in this document: Naming versions for deployment releases - Atlassian Documentation.

Would you mind sharing what is the configuration you have in the Release versioning: deployment number page?
