Release versioning and branch plans

Hi,

We are currently evaluating Bamboo (5.2.2 build 4010).

While release versioning is working as expected when triggering deployment on the plan's default branch, it seems like when a deploy is triggered on a specific branch (usign branch plans) the release version is {branchName}-{buildNumber} and not as defined in the deployment project's release versioning tab.

Is this deliberate or a bug?

Is there a way to make deployment of branches "inherit" the release versioning configuration from the deployment project?
