Need to know how to create different releases for environnment bases

Hi Team,
We have different environment like Dev, QA and SIT followed by production.
I need to maintain releases based on the environment
Eg .. Test (project) - I have taken a repository with release 1. That need to be deployed in Dev environment.
Same project I am having release 2 that need to be deployed in QA.
So please let me know the steps to follow( All the environment I am using are windows environment).
Till now I tried below.
1) Created deployment project and try to add the task.
But not successed, can you please give me any sample process that i can look in to it.
