Is upgrading to Bamboo 3.2 without first upgrading to Crowd 2.3.1 advisable?

The Crowd 2.3 release notes mention

This release mostly contains small changes to work better with other Atlassian products such as Bamboo 3.2.

I'm currently running Bamboo 3.0.1 and am looking to upgrade to 3.2 tomorrow when all of our developers are at a conference. I recently updated Crowd to 2.2.7. Will Bamboo 3.2 be lacking in any way without first doing the Crowd upgrade? Upgrading Crowd is kind of touchy since it takes down all of our Atlassian suite (and a couple others we use with it).

I ended up waiting until the weekend, updating Crowd, then updated Bamboo. So still not certain of the answer, but it doesn't really matter to me anymore.
