Is there a simpler way of sharing artifacts between multiple bamboo instances?

We've been using Bamboo's REST API calls for this, was wondering if there is a simpiler way to do this?

Not exactly sure what you are looking for, but CLI Plugin for Bamboo provides a Bamboo task that can retrieve artifacts (getArtifact) as well as other things from other Bamboo's.
