Is it possible to use variables in inline bamboo script

Can't seem to do something simple in an inline script in Bamboo like

foo='hello world'

echo $foo

Am I missing something?

Is there any kind of script reference for Bamboo?

The script is a regular Bash (on Linux) or batch (on Windows).

So, your example should work if you're using Linux

Doh, it's running on one of my windows agents and not the linux. Script on my windows box is windows bat?
