IAM for Bamboo to start and terminate instances

Samuel Sun
April 30, 2015

Hi,

I don't want to use an IAM with full permission on Bamboo. Instead I want to allow Bamboo to start new instance and terminate only the instance it starts. Is there a way to do this?

I have googled and search on Support tickets, but I couldn't find anything.

Thank you.

Samuel, an official list of EC2 IAM permission does not exist. There is already an improvement request logged for this issue: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/BAM-11932. Some users are sharing some thoughts around this discussion and even some possible "workarounds" in that request, I'd suggest you take a look at it.
