I can't connect to GitHub from Bamboo plugin using PAT

We are using Bamboo version 6.10.2, when I attempt to connect to GitHub with username and PAT (in password field), I am able to load all my repos from Github, but when I go to test the connection, it fails saying: 

We couldn't connect to the repository. Here's what we got back:
usage: git credential-store [<options>] <action>
      --file <path>     fetch and store credentials in <path>
usage: git credential-store [<options>] <action>
      --file <path>     fetch and store credentials in <path>

remote: Support for password authentication was removed on August 13, 2021.  Please use a personal access token instead...

Hi, it was fixed at Bamboo 7.1.3+, 7.2.0+
