Evaluating Bamboo for our ASP.NET applications

Hello all, I am asking the community of .NET engineers that use Bamboo for their CI\CD needs. We are evaluating it for our web projects. The first project is a full blown ASP.NET WebForms application. The second project is an ASP.NET WebForms and MVC hybrid we project app. We also have sqlproj files for our databases.

Does anyone know if all this will be possible in Bamboo? Are there any gap list items I should take into account that might not work well with our setup?

Our CI\CD is currently implemented in TFS 2013 and the builds get triggered by check-ins that build the website, deploy to staging, and create deployment packages for production. This is what we intend do do as well with Bamboo.

Much Appreciated!

Hi @Jaime Camargo

Bamboo can certainly be used as a CI/CD platform for .NET application. The technology of your software should not really matter for any CI/CD solution. As long as the machines/ agents building the software have the right dependencies.

But I would not recommend using Bamboo at this point. Atlassian announced the end of it's Data Center products including Bamboo.

If you choose Bamboo today you will need to migrate to another solution before March 2029.
