Checkout Source from GIT on private client VPN using remote Bamboo agent

I was wondering if it’s possible to use the Bamboo deployment with the Source Code Repo being on private client VPN.

The remote agent used for Bamboo is on the VPN and is able to connect the git server. But the actual Bamboo server is not on same VPN as the GIT server.

When running the plan I get the below error log

command /data/git-2.3.4/bin/git ls-remote http://achoudhury:********@blahblah.private-client-git-server.com/xyz/abcd.git failed with code 128
