Changing default user group for bamboo signups from bamboo-users

When a new user signs up from bamboo, bamboo creates the user account on the crowd server, but then tries to add the user to a group called "bamboo-users". Is it possible to change this behaviour to add the new account to a different group (e.g. "users")?

We also wanted to do this but our IT staff informed us that it couldn't be done. If there is a solution for this I would like to know too!
