Best Practice to run Bamboo in Linux with additional Agent in Virtualbox with Windows

Hi, 

My current configuration: 

We have a Bamboo Server installed in Ubuntu. Because we are developing in Linux and Windows, we worked with a Remote Agent in the Virtualbox, which worked quite fine with the evaluation license. 

The Virtual Agent Plugin is not compatible with our Bamboo Server Version, and as I can see it is only compatible with VM Ware. 

Can we save the extra costs for a remote agent license?
