Creating a recurring schedule

If i wanted to make a recurring schedule on jira that makes a newly assigned task every month or week to certain employers, how could I go about that? Seems like it makes you jump through a million loops of setting up different "rules" and "triggers." 

Example: 

Every 6 weeks "check battery life" Assigned to same employee every 6 weeks.
