Reminder for Solution Partners: Jira Data Limits Are Now Applicable

A quick reminder for Atlassian Solution Partners: the new Jira data limits and guardrails are now applicable.

If you manage multiple customer Jira environments, this is a good time to review:

  • Which customers are getting closer to a data limit?

  • Which Jira sites are becoming less healthy over time?

  • Which environments may need attention before the next health check or QBR?

With QuotaWatch, you can track data limit usage alongside a Site Health Score, making it easier to identify environments that may need attention.

The goal is simple: spot potential issues before they become customer problems.

📖 For a detailed explanation of the Jira data limits and what Solution Partners should know, read our earlier article here:

Don't overlook your Jira Standard customers

This is also an important conversation for customers on Jira Standard.

A Jira Standard customer may not be thinking about limits, governance, or long-term configuration health today. But as their Jira usage grows, so can the complexity of their environment.

That makes a simple health check a useful starting point.

We also published a guide specifically for Jira Standard administrators on why they should establish a baseline and start tracking their Jira health:

Jira Data Limits Are Changing in September 2026: What Every Jira Standard Admin Needs to Know

For Solution Partners, these customers can be particularly important.

A health score can help start a conversation around:

  • Jira configuration and governance
  • Optimisation opportunities
  • Managed services
  • Preparing for future growth
  • Whether their current Jira plan and support model will continue to meet their needs

The opportunity is not simply to tell a customer to upgrade.

It is to help them understand how their Jira environment is evolving and provide the right services as their needs grow.

Start with the health. Then let the conversation follow the customer's actual needs.
