Hi experts, just wondering is it possible to connect Atlassian MCP server with

strands.tools.mcp.MCPClient then used in AWS Strands agent?
Thanks

Hi @chunlinli ,

Yes, it should be possible (I haven't tested it, though). Atlassian Rovo MCP Server is designed to work with any MCP-compatible client, as long as they implement the MCP specification and support OAuth 2.1. More on connecting Atlassian MCP: Using with other supported MCP clients

Just a note that only MCP-compatible clients running as local instances are officially supported at this time; remote or non-local configurations may not be functional. 👀

On top of that, an additional disclaimer is that Atlassian MCP Server is currently in Beta, so some advanced features or integrations may be limited or under development 👷

Here's a link to the official forum group related to Atlassian Rovo MCP Server: https://community.atlassian.com/forums/Atlassian-Rovo-MCP-Server/gh-p/AtlassianMCPServer

I'd also recommend checking there. Btw, I'll ask mods to move this question there so maybe someone can chime in on this.

Cheers,
Tobi
