Introducing Rovo Search and Fetch: Powerful new tools for your AI Clients 🚀

We’re excited to announce the release of the Rovo’s search and fetch features for the Atlassian Rovo MCP Server (formerly Atlassian Remote MCP Server). These tools are designed to help you find the Atlassian context you need, faster and more accurately, across all our supported AI clients.

What’s new:

  • Rovo’s search and fetch commands can now be used directly from any supported client to quickly locate work items, pages, and other content across your Atlassian tools.

  • The Atlassian Remote MCP Server has been renamed to Atlassian Rovo MCP Server to better reflect its integration with Rovo features.

We hope these tools make it easier than ever to get the most out of your Atlassian data and workflows. We’re excited to see how you use them!

Hey Jemma,

Will these be available through the Copilot Studio MCP as I am getting issues with the Connector returning too much information and erroring.

Kind Regards,

Aaron

I came across this post: https://community.atlassian.com/forums/Rovo-questions/Jira-Remote-MCP-Server-in-Copilot-Studio/qaa-p/3110808#M1202 and would like to confirm my understanding.

Is the Atlassian Remote MCP Server the same as the Jira MCP Server in Copilot Studio?

I’ve only tested the Jira MCP Server in Copilot Studio, and based on that, it appears to only access Jira. However, from what I’ve read, the Atlassian Remote MCP Server can access Confluence as well. If these two are the same, I may have misunderstood something.

The post also mentioned that with the addition of Rovo’s search and fetch features, the Atlassian Remote MCP Server was renamed to Atlassian Rovo MCP Server. I’d love to know whether this functionality—or the Atlassian Rovo MCP Server itself—will be available in Copilot Studio soon. I’m particularly interested in integrating a Copilot Studio agent with Atlassian content (Jira and Confluence).

Any clarification would be greatly appreciated.

Best regards,
Kittiwin
