Hi @Paul Winstone

It sounds like you've encountered a scenario where two separate Atlas project lists have been created, which can happen for a couple of reasons. Here’s a breakdown of why this might occur and how you can resolve it:

1. Different Atlassian Sites or Organizations

If you’re part of multiple Atlassian sites or organizations, it’s possible that one Atlas project list is tied to a specific site (e.g., Jira/Confluence) and the other is linked to a different, standalone site. This would result in one list appearing “orphaned” because it’s not connected to your current Jira/Confluence environment.

Solution:
Verify the site or organization associated with each Atlas project list. You can switch sites via your Atlassian account dropdown and confirm which site is connected to your active Jira/Confluence instance.

2. Projects Created in Atlas Independently

Atlas allows you to create projects directly within the platform. If these projects were created in Atlas without associating them with a Jira or Confluence instance, they’ll exist independently as an “orphaned” list.

Solution:
You can manually link these projects to your Jira or Confluence workspace via the project settings in Atlas. Navigate to the project in Atlas, check the integration settings, and connect it to your desired tools.

3. Permissions and Visibility Issues

Sometimes, a project might appear "orphaned" if your permissions in Jira or Confluence don’t match the Atlas project settings. This can make it seem like two separate lists exist.

Solution:
Double-check your permissions across Jira, Confluence, and Atlas. Ensure you have admin or access rights to connect and manage these tools seamlessly.

If you’re still unsure or can’t resolve the issue, Atlassian’s support team or your organization’s admin might be able to assist. Additionally, if integration is part of your workflow challenge, platforms like Getint specialize in helping organizations unify their tools and data across Jira, Confluence, and other systems to prevent issues like this.

Hope this helps! Let us know how it goes.

Cheers,
Renata

The GUI remains a mystery at the top left - hover text is apps but the most left column is very helpfully sites - I can see where I have 4, two of which are Intertek, one of those I didnt ask for but at least I know where it is.

I also have bobswift and appfire - which I havent explored - but thats okay

- bobswift and appfire both have Atlassian home as an option but both says:

This page has restricted content

This page has restrictions that limit who can view it. Try going back home or asking a workspace admin for viewing permission.

Now I understand enough - I can get to my Goals and Projects at Atlassian Home

(PS: Its crazy that each module has projects and we have projects in our business and all the projects may or may not use all the other projects!)
