I have been texting with a team member, Tiana Schultz about getting started with your company. I totally don't understand what she is telling me to do. She had US Bank payoff my credit cards and is asking me to go buy 3 $500 Apple cards.
I now don't feel comfortable at all doing this.
Can you please tell if this is legit or how to get signed up with your company to work from home?
This is a scam. Nobody will ever ask you to buy gift cards; federal government, company, bank, etc. nobody is doing business in gift cards except scammers.

Hi @Jeanne Crabb and welcome to the Community!
Not working for Atlassian myself (attached to a Solution partner and happily helping out people in my free time here).
Signing up with Atlassian does normally not require third party intervention. If you want to get started with a product (like Jira, Confluence, ...), you should be able to navigate straight to the Atlassian website, locate the product you want to start using and then start a (free) trial for 30 days. You will be asked to enter your email address and a unique URL for your product site. This should be configured automatically and you will be invited to enter your payment details directly in the product if you want to switch to a paid version of the product after the trial ends.
You can sign up for some of the most known Atlassian products right here:
All the above information is for when you want to start your own Atlassian site (as in: for your personal use or when you are setting up a new environment for your team).
If you want to just join an already existing site (e.g. as a new user to the already existing site of your company), you should reach out to the company that owns that site to have them invite you to the site as a new user. That scenario should not involve any costs to you. Probably this is not relevant in this case, but I thought it was worth mentioning since it is not really clear from your question what exactly you are trying to sign up for.
Hope this helps!
