Atlas Projects - Sharing Status Updates with External Parties

I have a question around sharing Atlas Projects Status Updates with External parties.

I checked and from what I can find there is no cost to my company (see below), and it would help us in Project communications, but can anyone share with me further info on the last point 'Access Scope' -  I need to be able to assure my admin that shared Status updates will only allow the external party to see that particular project, and it's not clear if they will be able to see the About Page and the Status Updates or just the Status Updates?
  • Free Account Required: External stakeholders need an Atlassian account to log in, but this is free.
  • No Paid License: They can act as "stakeholders" (viewers/followers) without consuming a paid product license.
  • Access Scope: External users only have access to the specific Atlas view or project shared with them, not the rest of your Atlassian site.

Any help gratefully received.

FYI I got a response from Atlassian Support on this issue:

"Atlas (Atlassian Projects) is currently scoped to people inside your Atlassian organisation only and can only be shared internally. Hence, it would not be possible to share it with clients who are not part of your Atlassian organisation. However, if your clients are in a Slack channel or a Microsoft Teams channel that is connected to a project, they can see the relevant updates in there if you connect your projects to those channels, but please note that they won't be able to open up the project if they click on it."

So, for now it is an internal tool only.
