Adding a team to an Atlassian / Atlas Project

I'm looking to understand how I can add a team to an Atlassian / Atlas Project? My goal is to be able to filter Projects by my team so I can see all of my team's projects at a glance.

I notice that within the current UI for a Project I can add "Contributors", "Followers" but not "Teams". Compare this to the Atlassian/Atlas Goals where there exists a field on the sidebar to add a team.

Can you please advise on how to address?

Hi @Evan Reeves,

You can add teams directly in the Contributors box to a project. These can be either individuals or Atlassian teams.

Hope this helps!

I'm not sure this is working correctly....

In a project I added my team. Rather than add the "team" this added all members of the team as followers of the project.

  • When I look at the project, I do not see the "team" in the followers but rather all the individuals in the team
  • Bug: When I return to the page with all project and filter by team, I am not able to see the project to which I just added the team. Doesn't show the correct projects where I just created that association

This seems like completely different approach in the "Goals" tool. Within a goal I am able to explicitly add a team (different than followers). I am able to then look at all goals and filter by team, this works as expected.

The experience is quite different between Projects and Goals. Curious why there is such a difference in being able to add Teams directly between the two?
