Looking to replicate the Jira dashboard's functionality within the Atlassian Analytics dashboard. Specifically, we would like to enable users to click on data points within a dashboard gadget, which would then open an issue navigator page displaying the underlying JQL query and a list of associated work items.
For instance, in the Jira Service Management - Incident Management Overview dashboard template, clicking on data points in the "Mean time to respond" or "Mean time to resolution" charts should reveal a list of relevant work items along with desired fields/columns data in a table list chart dynamically that corresponds to the bar/line graph chart either as a pop-up new window or right below the graph chart .
Is anyone able to simulate this drilldown feature in Atlassian Analytics dashboard? If so, could you please provide some reference knowledge articles that pertains to this core drilldown functionality?
Hi,
Atlassian Analytics does not provide the same drill-down behavior as Jira dashboards out of the box.
Possible alternatives:
• Add links from charts to Jira issue navigator with filters
• Use dashboard filters to narrow results interactively
• Create separate charts for different levels of detail
• Use parameters or controls (if available) to simulate drill-down
• Open underlying Jira issues via JQL links for deeper analysis
Thanks @Prasanna Ravichandran for your response and suggested alternatives.
I'm pretty new to the Atlassian Analytics, so would it be possible to share any reference articles that closely matches to my requirement as well as supporting your suggested alternatives.
