Introducing Studio Templates

👋 Hi Community! I’m Sophia, one of the Product Managers in Studio.

We’re excited to introduce new Studio Templates - a faster way to get value from Rovo agents and automations without starting from a blank canvas. You can browse a curated gallery of ready-made agent and automation templates, customise in seconds with guided setup, and activate them directly from Studio.

What are Agent Templates?

We know the hardest part of building an agent is often just getting started. Knowing what's possible, which instructions to write, which tools to connect, and how to wire it all together can be a lot - especially if you're new to agents.

Agent Templates take that first step for you. Instead of building from scratch, you pick a template which is already configured with the right instructions and connected tools baked in.

There's a template for all kinds of everyday work, for example:

  • Daily Prep Agent - start your day with a quick briefing that pulls together your meetings, priorities, and what needs your attention.

  • New Hire Onboarding Guide - answer common onboarding questions from your team's docs.

  • Sprint Retro Facilitator - help teams run better retros and capture the outcomes.

  • Backlog Prioritiser - get a hand triaging and ordering your backlog.

With agent templates, you spend less time wiring things up, and more time getting real work done. You can go from idea to a working agent in minutes.

What are Automation Templates?

If you've used automation before, these will feel familiar - automation templates already exist in product automation as pre-built flows you can pick up and run with. We're now bringing them together with agent templates in the same Studio gallery, so agents and automations live side by side in one place.

Each automation template is a ready-made rule for common jobs, like routing and triaging work, sending reminders and notifications, or keeping fields and statuses in sync. You choose a template, adjust it to fit your project, and turn it on.

One thing to note: any automation flow you build from a template here is Studio-scoped - it's created and lives within Rovo Studio, alongside your agents. Because it's scoped across your entire site, your automation can work across multiple apps and spaces within your system of work. It's the same familiar automation experience, just started from, and managed within, Studio.

How it works

Head to the Templates gallery in Rovo Studio:

  1. Browse the gallery and filter between agent templates and automation templates.

  2. Pick a template that fits what you're trying to do.

  3. Select ‘Use template’, which will either take you to the Automation flow builder or the Agent builder and you can customise it to your needs.

  4. Publish, and you're ready to go.

From there, it's a normal Studio agent or Studio-scoped automation flow - you stay in full control and can edit any part of it, connect more tools, or refine the instructions whenever you like.

When will it all be available?

These are already available in Rovo Studio for tenants with Rovo and AI enabled.
