Scale Rovo adoption across your org with AI Access Controls

Every organization is on a different AI adoption journey. While some are ready to make AI broadly available, others need the flexibility to roll it out in phases or limit access to specific groups. Regardless of rollout approach, as AI becomes a bigger part of everyday work, organizations need confidence that these capabilities are being adopted in ways that align with their governance and security requirements.

That’s why I’m excited to announce the General Availability of AI Access Controls.

How can I use AI Access Controls for my org?

With AI Access controls, admins have the flexibility they need to support the rollout of Rovo AI at their own pace – balancing innovation with governance that keeps AI adoption aligned with organizational policies.

Standard and Premium plan customers can manage access to AI-powered capabilities using the AI Access Controls blocklist to prevent users from accessing Rovo AI experiences. This provides a simple way to exclude individuals who shouldn't have access to AI capabilities.

Cloud Enterprise plan customers also have access to the blocklist capability, as well as additional controls designed for larger, more complex organizations:

• Allowlists to enable AI only for approved users or groups.

• Blocklists to exclude users or groups from AI access.

• Group-based access controls to manage AI access using existing identity groups, making it easier to administer access at scale.

Use AI Access Controls for greater flexibility to pilot AI with specific teams before expanding access across the organization. To learn more, refer to our documentation for implementation guidance, supported apps, and configuration details.

Is there a rollout timeline? I'm on standard, and my blocklist is currently limited to blocking applications, as reflected in the documentation you linked.

Apologies if that was misleading. For those on the Standard and Premium editions, the control remains the same: you turn Rovo On/Off at the product level. The granular control for individual users is reserved for our enterprise edition.

Disappointing to see user access management still being limited to Enterprise only. Surely this should be a basic admin function.
